Protect Park from Development

I think the recent proposal to develop the Subang Ria Park is inappropriate and another attempt to test the patience of the residents of Subang Jaya – an act of defiance towards the wishes and feelings of the majority people of Subang Jaya.
As a resident of Subang Jaya, I am duty bound to protect the park and wish to remind EVERYONE especially the developer and the relevant authorities that in the PUBLIC HEARING held on 15/07/07 it was unanimously agreed that there should be no development to the park and the area gazetted as a green lung.
If good governance and good sense had prevailed, the relevant authorities and state assemblyman of Subang Jaya (now and before) would have by now initiated and gazetted the park as a green lung.
I remember clearly that the current state assemblyman of Subang Jaya saying that if she were to be elected she will not be “curry flavored”. Now that she has been elected we see no concerted effort or action from her to solve the impasse after more than 1 year in office. At least the previous assemblyman was heroic enough to state that the park can only be developed over his dead body. Will the current assemblyman up the benchmark by giving her body and soul to save the park?
Let’s hope all parties LISTEN to the RAKYAT and abide to their wishes.
