Yayasan Sime Darby is offering scholarships to students with excellent academic achievement and outstanding leadership qualities to pursue undergraduate studies at top Universities in Australia, United Kingdom, United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, the People's Republic of China, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand and India.

Available Sime Darby Scholarships:

Undergraduate Scholarship Programme (Overseas)	Students who have: completed or in final semester of their foundation studies. received offer from selected overseas universities. Students who are currently pursuing degrees at selected overseas universities are encouraged to apply.	Closing Date 21 Sept 09
Undergraduate Scholarship Programme (Local)	Students who have: completed or in the final semester of their local matriculation diploma programme. applied to selected public and private universities in Malaysia. Students who are currently pursuing degrees at selected universities in Malaysia are encouraged to apply.	Closing Date 21 Sept 09

Minimum Requirements:

STPM (CGPA of at least 3.5)
Local Matriculation / Diploma (CGPA of at least 3.5)
‘A Level’ (minimum 3A)
Australian TER SAM / AUSMAT (minimum 90.0)
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (minimum 36.0)
International Canadian Pre-University (minimum 85%)
Individuals pursuing their first or second year undergraduate studies must have latest academic result of at least 2nd class upper division

Note: Previous academic achievements will be taken into consideration.

Field of Study

Scholarship will be offered to individual pursuing the following fields of study:

• Business : Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, Economics and Finance, Law
• Engineering and Technology : Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Computer, Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
• Sciences : Agriculture, Biotechnology, Food Technology, Plantations Technology, Plantation management
• Medical and Allied Health Science : Medicine (MBBS), Pharmacy, Nursing, Dietetics, Radiation Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nuclear Medicine, Medical Physics, Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) *NEW*

Scholarship Value:

The full scholarship covers the following:

Full tuition and academic fees
Living Allowance
Books allowance
Computer allowance (one-off)
Settling-in allowance (one-off) - overseas only
Clothing allowance (one-off) - overseas only
Student visa and passport - overseas only
Shipping allowance (one-off at the end of course) - overseas only
Flight ticket (at the beginning and end of course) - overseas only
Insurance coverage (if applicable) - overseas only

Recipients of scholarship will have the opportunity to undergo Scholars Development Programme and experience work exposure through internship within the Sime Darby Group of Companies.
