Taman Subang Ria -Land Swap Option Possible

SIME Darby Property Berhad, the owner of Taman Subang Ria is open to swapping the 72.63 acre land with another in Selangor.

SDPB managing director Dato' Tunku Putra Badlishah said the company was open to such a suggestion.

"We are open to it. However, we have a strong affinity to Subang Jaya as the developer of this township."

"We'd like to see this (setting up of a park) done properly," he said.

Tunku Putra Badlishah said SDPB was also open to jointly manage the park (after upgrading work has been carried out) with residents associations and the authority.

"We can also look into allocating some budgets for maintaining what we will build in the park to make sure it doesn't become a failure in the future," he added.

He said the company had submitted its preliminary proposal to the Selangor State government and the Subang Jaya Municipal Council.

"We have presented the proposal to Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim, relevant State excos and also MPSJ," he said.
