Support Children's Wish Society of Malaysia

It’s slightly more than a year now since the Children’s Wish Society of Malaysia (Persatuan Impian Kanak-Kanak Malaysia) was registered.
Aimed at raising awareness on the plight of the unfortunate children around us who face hardship, pain and the prospect of not being able to fight the illness that has afflicted them, CWS Malaysia has embarked on a mission to raise the necessary public funds to help bring a spark of light in the darkest hour of a child’s life.
Almost every day there is a child out there who is dying of an illness that has drained their chance of a normal life – enjoying their childhood; growing up and having a family of their own.
CWS Malaysia raises much needed funds to respond to such cases. In the last one year, several cases had been brought to our attention. The smile on our first recipient, Ooi Hon Lim 11, still lingers in our mind. The “Thank You” he expressed when he received his portable DVD player still echoes in our mind. His memory stays on with us although he is no longer with us.
All our efforts will come to nothing if not for the generous support of the public and corporate sector. Through fundraising drives and publicity via the media, CWS Malaysia has managed to spread the word out to the whole country on how you and I can help bring a smile back to our little unfortunate ones.
A minimum RM1 donation brings us a long way in being able to respond quickly to a request. Time is obviously of the essence once a wish comes in. It is treated almost like the wish must be fulfilled “yesterday”.
Due care and diligence is taken when administering the funds generously donated by the public. Our accounts are audited and all requirements of the law are adhered to.
This July, CWS Malaysia together with its various corporate partners and generous individuals will once again embark on its 2nd fundraising event – the Charity Durian Fest. Once again, we have the generosity of Subang Parade who has offered us for the second time around to host and sponsor the event.
It is our hope many partners will come forward to help us raise crucial funds for the Society. Join us and be part of those who wish to place a glitter in a child’s eyes when his/her wish is fulfilled.
