Wesak Day at SJBA-Volunteers Needed

Wesak Celebration at the Subang Jaya Buddhist Association will start on Wesak Eve (8th May) with the lighting of Blessings Oil Lamps at 7.00pm followed by Wesak Eve Buddha Puja.
This will be followed with a Dhamma Talk titled “Wesak: Contemplation” by Dato’ Dr. Ananda Kumaraseri, Procession Round the Vihara, Chanting and Meditation.
On Wesak Day itself, Puja Service will commence at 8.30am followed by the official launching of the Wesak Day Celebration by Selangor State Exco Ronnie Liu accompanied by ADUN Subang Jaya Hannah Yeoh.
This will be followed by chanting of Parittas by the Sangha. Blessing Service will be carried by the Maha Sangha.
From 11.00am to 1.00pm, vegetarian food will be provided. There will be a Blood Donation & Organ Pledge Campaign and free medical test during the day.
The SJBA needs around 200 volunteer helpers to help organize all these activities. If you wish to volunteer to help, please contact Sis. Lily at Tel. 03-56315299.
