Raiding Party Hit Subang Jaya & Puchong

TWO premises, one in Subang Jaya and another in Pusat Bandar
Puchong were raided last night by the Subang Jaya Municipal Council
(MPSJ).
The first outlet targeted was an office lot in SS17 located
within the Wisma D'Corp row. Jointly carried out with the SS17 police,
MPSJ officers raided the premises on suspicion of harbouring illegals
or drug abusers.
The council and police had based on a complaint that the staircase
leading to the said premises emitted a stench, broke into the
premises.A mountain of rubbish greeted the officers at the staircase.
But
instead of finding anyone in there, the officers found the premises to
be a store for rolls of cables, computer servers, circuit boards, metal
pieces and computers. Four office lots had been converted into a store
yard on the third floor of the building.
Guard uniforms, clothes and even underwear were found in the premises but no one was found on site.
"We
will trace the owner of the building and prosecute him under Act 171,
Section 17 (12) of the Building Act for misusing the office lot as a
store yard for his equipment. This is a designated office lot and
cannot be used for anything other than is permitted," an MPSJ
spokesperson said.
SS17 police station Chief Inspector Sulaiman Baputty who led the police party described the stench as that of a corpse.
"We
feared the worse when we smelled the stench," he said, adding that
although no one was found on site, it was good that members of the
public were now bringing such complaints to the attention of the
authorities.
"It is good that people are observant and are calling us. It doesn't
matter if at the end of the day, we find no criminal activities. We are
ready to check out what is brought to our attention," he added.
Later MPSJ officers led another raiding party to Pusat Bandar Puchong.

An illegal DVD shop had all its DVDs, many of which were pornographic DVDs seized and shut down.
The
operator could only watch as MPSJ officers carted away everything,
including a flat screen TV, before issuing him a compound for the
offence.
The raid attracted a huge crowd of diners from the nearby eateries.
