Police Conducts Checks on Foreigners in Angsana

Residents of the Angsana flats in USJ1 had visitors in the night early last month.
The visitors, police personnel led by USJ 8 officer-in-charge Chief Inspector Loi Yew Lik, were conducting their routine checks on foreigners, especially those without proper travel and work documents.
Door-to-door checks were done based on surveillance conducted earlier.
Several foreigners were taken back to the station for more detailed checks of their status with their employers, after having being found without any documentation on them.
Loi said checks would be done throughout USJ to keep tabs of the presence of foreigners, especially those without passports or permits.
