SS17 POLICE GET SURPRISE VISIT ON POLICE DAY

Head of Station Humbled by Gesture

OUR men in blue at the SS17 Police Station had surprise visitors who brought along cakes and everything nice on the day they celebrated Police Day.

On the evening of the day the police are honored for their service to the public, the officers at the station led by Chief Inspector Sulaiman Baputty received ADUN Subang Jaya Hannah Yeoh and members of the JKP Zone 1.

Her first ever visit to the station since she took office a year ago, Hannah joint members of JKP Zone 1 who presented cakes and sandwiches to the men, as a gesture of thanks for their dedication and service the community in Subang Jaya.

"We decided to honor the policemen in Subang Jaya for their hardwork and dedication by bringing some cakes and sandwiches to celebrate this important day," she said.

The policemen were all smiles when receiving the goodies as well as when they posed for a photograph together with the visitors.

Sulaiman described the visit as historic.

"In my 30 years as a policeman, I have never had the honor of having a State Assemblyman come to the station and give us gifts on Police Day."

"I am humbled by the gesture extended by Hannah and the rest of the JKP Zone 1 members led by Theresa (Ratnam Thong)," he said.

Sulaiman thanked the visitors and promised to continue the cooperation and collaboration between the community and the police force in the township.
