Muslim Patrons Nabbed at Entertainment Outlet
MPSJ to continue checking on entertainment outlets which breach the law

LURE OF FUN....two female Muslim patrons being booked for consuming alcohol and for dressing indecently.
ENTERTAINMENT outlets in Subang Jaya which continue to breach the conditions of their licence will constantly be under the watchful eyes of the Subang Jaya Municipal Council.
The local authority, according to MPSJ enforcement director Mohd Zulkurnain B. Che Ali will carry out frequent checks on errant operators who disregarded and ran foul of their licence.

He was speaking to reporters after heading a joint MPSJ-Selangor Islamic Council (JAIS)-Police raid on entertainment outlets in the municipality.
During the raid, 25 Muslim patrons were booked for various offences including consuming intoxicating beverages and dressing indecently.
JAIS head of Syariah Criminal Investigations Unit for Selangor Ahmad Tarnuzi led a 10-member team.
Ahmad said those booked will have to present themselves this Wednesday (March 18) at the JAIS office.
Out of the 25, one was found to be underaged.
"If found guilty, the person can be charged a maximum of RM3,000 or two year's jail."
"Offenders will have to undergo counselling," he said.

Those booked will be charged under Section 18 of the Selangor Syariah Criminal Enactment 1995 and Section 31 of the same Act.
Mohd Zulkurnain said MPSJ would continue to carry out checks on all the pubs and discos in the municipality, especially during the weekends.
Just last week, the same outlet was raided by MPSJ and an underaged girl was found in the premises.
MPSJ president Dato' Adnan Md Ikshan who had led the earlier raid had noticed the presence of Muslims on the premises, which subsequently led to the latest raid.
