ENTERTAINMENT OUTLETS BEWARE!

Abide by guidelines set in your license, says Adnan

ENTERTAINMENT outlet operators should avoid running foul of guidelines set under their license to avoid being shut down or face action from the authorities.

Subang Jaya Municipal Council president Dato' Adnan Md Ikshan said to avoid any action from the local authority, operators should always strictly adhere to the conditions of the license.

"There are 20 entertainment outlets in Sunway alone and tonight we decided to carry out random checks to ensure that operators of these outlets adhere to the conditions of their license."

"Today, we found an underaged girl (17 years old) when we checked patrons," he said to reporters after visiting Barcelona in Sunway.

Adnan said the operator could face a maximum compound of RM10,000 under Section 11 of the MPSJ Entertainment Bylaw (Amended) 2005 for allowing underaged patrons to enter their premises.

The operations which was jointly carried out with the police also involved checking for drugs and substances.

Adnan said checks would be carried out frequently especially so during weekends.
