Nasi Kandar Utara in Subang Jaya

Did you notice that there are so many Nasi Kandar restaurants now in Subang Jaya? There is Nasi Kandar Kayu in USJ and also Nasi Kandar Pelita and also Hassan’s in Subang Jaya.
Of all these, I like Nasi Kandar Utara at Jalan SS15/4 in Subang Jaya the best. However, finding a parking space here is quite a challenge. But believe me, once you are there, Nasi Kandar Utara would not disappoint.
The restaurant is non air-conditioned and the display is simple. But just look at the pictures here and tell me you did not salivate. There are really good choices here.
You can choose from the freshly fried chicken, curry cuttlefish, fish head, mutton, beef and also the tasty fish roe amongst others. For me, more often than not, I would take the fish roe and fried chicken. I will also ask that I have all the different types curry gravy mixed with the rice.

The freshly fried chicken is moist and flavourful whilst the fish roe (fish eggs) would still have the creamy and spiced flavour. The gravy mixed rice makes the whole dish even more mouth watering.
The dish is also accompanied with vegetables and papadum. A glass of hot tea or iced tea will complete the meal. The food here is priced reasonably and the taste to me is one of the best I have eaten. The price depends on what you order and the portion size.
Most are well marinated and the spices not overpowering. The humble restaurant is a favourite haunt for so many years and still managed to have the same quality.
Perhaps because it is quaint and small without the fluff and fuss, the simplicity of great nasi kandar is well described by Nasi Kandar Utara. So do drop by for your nasi kandar fix at Nasi Kandar Utara at Jalan SS15/4 in Subang Jaya
