New USJ8 Police Chief Gets Warm Welcome from Residents

New Officer-in-Charge of the USJ8 Police Station Chief Inspector Loi Yew Lik received a warm and rousing welcome from USJ residents last night at a casual get-to-know you dinner.

Residents from all over USJ, Subang Jaya and even Putra Heights joined the group of residents together with Subang Jaya ADUN Hannah Yeoh to enjoy a light meal and also to meet the new kid on the block.

He was also joined by his colleagues from the SS17, Putra Heights and Bandar Sunway police stations at the event.

Hannah welcomed him and "jokingly" told Loi that residents here were "noisy" and vocal.

A surprise birthday celebration was already in store at the end of the evening when everyone present sang a birthday song for Robert Chan. Robert who turned 55 is no stranger to residents as he is the main man behind the running of SJ Alert, the community sms service.
