Is Breeding Mosquitoes Your Favourite Past Time?

Taking it serious....Hannah trying her hand using the mobile fogging machine under the watchful eyes of MPSJ's health department officers.
PUT YOUR CONTAINERS OUT AND OFFER THEM TO THE MOSQUITOES! And the next time you see an MPSJ officer fogging your area, you may suddenly realise someone nearby has died of the dreaded dengue because of your irresponsible act!!
The whole country is on RED ALERT with the dengue threatening the lives of everyone around but a quick walk in SS15 on Feb 5 (Thursday) found many houses with pails of clear and clean water either in their garden or in their backyard.
Irresponsible is a word that's too mild to decribe such behaviour.
ADUN Subang Jaya Hannah Yeoh who joined the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) health unit on one of their mosquito eradication rounds in SS15 said it was imperative for residents to take the dengue threat seriously.
"We will be conducting checks around Subang Jaya at least once in a fortnight to check on the dengue situation and also to create more awareness of the problem."
"Residents just need to spend 10 minutes of their time to check and clean up their premises to eradicate mosquito breeding grounds," she said to SJ Echo.
MPSJ will be carrying out fogging regularly to keep a check on the dengue menace but this only kills the adults mosquitoes.
"I have offers from concerned residents to come along with me to help remind others of the threat."
"Schools also should play a more pro-active role. They have to realise students can get bitten by a mosquito while at school too," she said.
Two cases of dengue have been detected in SS15 since January this year - one along Jalan SS15/7 and another along Jalan SS15/2E.
Several schools have also become breeding grounds for the mosquitoes according to MPSJ checks.
They are SR Agama Integrasi SS15 (1 breeding spot); SMK Subang Utama (4 breeding spots); SM Seafield 2/5 (2 breeding spots) and Sekolah Bistari USJ4 (1 breeding spot).

Taking them all out...fogging only helps to kill the adult mosquitoes

Irresponsible...several pails like this were found along Jalan SS15/2E. Clear and clean water like this are perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes.
