Sunday's Thunderstorm Wreaks Havoc in Parts of Subang Jaya

More of Sunday's Thunderstorm

WERE you on of those living in Subang Jaya and neighbouring areas who suffered losses to your property during last Sunway's evening thunderstorm?

Many electrical appliances from TV, internet, phone lines, alarm systems and even automatic gates were damaged during the thunderstorm which saw lightning streaking across the sky.

According to a weather forecast source, the phenomenon witnessed is an occurence which is expected to carry on for some time to come.

"The heavy thunderstorm and nerve-wreaking lightning strikes we have been experiencing has been getting worse over the last 3 years."

"We anticipate to see more of this," the source said.

The source however said, lightning is never known to strike twice at the same place and as such, house owners should avoid getting paranoid whenever storms appear in the horizon.

"Make sure you unplug all your electrical appliances in the house when you see a storm appear in the horizon."

"This will minimise the occurences of short circuits or loss of property," the source said.

So, the next time you see cloudy skies and sounds of thunder in the horizon, turn off your computer, TV and other electrical appliances to avoid having to dig deep into your pockets to repair or replace them.
