Simple Do's and Don'ts During the Durian Charity Event
The “We Ate for Charity” Durian Eating Fest this coming Sunday August 10 is planned to provide everyone who shows up with lots of fun and excitement tucking in the durians made available at Subang Parade.
To ensure the smooth flow of people coming for the event and also to ensure everyone gets to enjoy the durians, a few simple guidelines will be have to be adhered to:
-
Please do not bring tupperware and containers to pack away durians. Everyone is encouraged to enjoy and eat all you can but on site;
-
Four collection stations will be put up for people to collect their durians. Volunteers will open the durians;
-
No picking. Durians will be given out but choosing which fruit is not allowed. If the fruit is spoilt, it will be replaced there and then;
-
Please wear shoes. No slippers please just in case a durian drops and hurts your feet;
-
Children must always be accompanied by adults;
-
Please park your cars in designated parking bays to avoid causing congestion along the roads surrounding the complex;
-
Each paid participant will be given a fruit at any one time. Once you have finished your fruit, you can queue up again for the next fruit;
-
Police, RELA and complex security personnel will be present to ensure everything runs smoothly;
-
The whole area for the Fest will be cordoned off at the sunken courtyard of Subang Parade for paid participants;
-
Do not litter. Please ensure the fruit skin is disposed off in rubbish bins provided;
-
Be careful when opening the durian. Do not hurt yourself. If you hurt yourself, medical personnel from Subang Jaya Medical Centre are on hand to attend to you;
-
Do not waste. Share with your friends or those around you;
Last but not least, you do not have to camp overnight at Subang Parade to be one of the first to get to the Fest on Sunday August 10.
Have fun! See you there!
