Cleaner Water for SS14 Subang Jaya Homes

Consumer Association of Subang Jaya lauds SYABAS initiative
RECENT efforts to flush out residue in water supply pipelines in SS14 Subang Jaya will mean cleaner water to several hundred residential and commercial homes.
Consumer Association of Subang Jaya protem president Lau Bing said efforts by Syabas to replace the stop valves along 34 points in the area was a move in the right direction to ensure that the water supplied was clean.
“Two months ago, Syabas had replaced the communication pipes to every residential and commercial property. This helped to increase the water pressure but did nothing to ensure cleaner water was supplied.”
“Over the weekend, they replaced and installed stop valves and this hopefully will raise the quality of water,” he told reporters after inspecting the ongoing work in the area.
Lau Bing said the earlier project to replace the communication pipes helped reduce non-revenue water for the company but did nothing to ensure cleaner water.
“Syabas has cleaned and serviced the 34 points and will return in two weeks time to flush out the water to ensure that all pollutants are removed from the mains.”
“If the pollutants still exist, then I urge them to check the source of the water supply which is at the reservoirs,” he said.
Lau Bing thanked Syabas for the job executed and hoped that this would mean better quality of water.
