MPSJ comes to the aid of family

Family gets temporary shelter after their house was burnt down

SAVARIMAH Arokam, 52, and her family have a roof over their heads, thanks to the Subang Jaya Municipal Council.

Their home in Taman Kinrara Section 7 was recently burnt to the ground and they have been temporarily given a flat in Bandar Kinrara to stay in while alternative arrangements can be made.

MPSJ secretary Slamat Hamzah who presented a RM500 aid to Savarimah said the family was provided the flat rent free for the next few months to allow them time to rebuild their home or seek alternative accommodation.

“We have 30 units in Bandar Kinrara 6 which we allocate for victims of natural disasters in the municipality.”

“The units are not furnished and the duration of stay is on a case-by-case basis,” he said to reporters after presenting aid to the family recently.
