On the auspicious 8th August 2008, which falls on a Friday, Chan Fong will be making a special appearance at Yip's Kitchen at 3pm to raise funds for an orphanage in Klang.

The 38-year-old former radio personality is calling all residents from Subang Jaya to come forward and donate towards Rumah KIDS in Klang.

The organiser of the event, Stephen Ng, said that proceeds from the day’s event will be handed over to the representative from Rumah KIDS.

There will be a charge of RM15 per person, and net proceeds from the day’s collection will go towards Rumah KIDS. “While we enjoy the afternoon with Chan Fong, we should also remember the underprivileged,” he said.

The manager of Yip’s Kitchen, Sherine Liu (posing with Chan Fong in the picture above), is also open to ideas from the community about other charity events that can be hosted at its venue in Sunway Pyramid.
