Getting Value for Money for Your Daily Seafood

Local fresh frozen seafood outlet delivers to your doorstep

WITH rising cost of fuel, commuting around in your car could prove to be a costly affair, even if it is to do your daily groceries marketing for the family.

Buying single items at the wet market or hypermarkets around Subang Jaya will be a thing of the past as consumers trim their expenses by reducing their movement around.

Many will opt to buy in bulk while others will look for more affordable ways of stretching their ringgit.

One local fresh frozen seafood outlet in USJ21, Fishy Fishy, has come forward to offer door-to-door delivery services of items purchased by residents living within Subang Jaya, USJ and Putra Heights.

According to its owner Wendy Chen, with minimum purchases of RM50 or more, the outlets charges RM2 to deliver to the house.

“For purchases of RM100 and above, the delivery is free. All the customer has to do is order their seafood supply over the phone and we will deliver them,” she said.

Just two days after the fuel hike, Fishy Fishy launched its “Together We Fight Inflation” campaign.

“Customers are encouraged to come for the first time to our outlet to see the variety of seafood we have. After that, you can just call us and we will tell you what we have.”

“You can order it over the phone and we will deliver it to you,” she said, adding that the seafood can be kept fresh for months, making it convenient for customers to stock up their seafood, thus saving on time and also traveling.

Fishy Fishy customers can enjoy a 5% discount for purchases above RM100 in a single receipt for the next two months.

Wendy said the outlet sourced its seafood from their own fish farm and fishermen in Pulau Ketam. Organically grown fish and fish is also sourced from Sabah.

The outlet carries a wide range of fish including Ikan Merah, Senangin, Kurau, Senohong, Giant Grouper, Kerapu, Coral Trout, Ikan Lidah, Bawal Tambak, Bawal Putih, Bawal Silver, Bawal Hitam, Tenggiri, Pari, Parang, Cat Fish and Jenahak.

Organically grown Barramundi, Jade Perch, imported Cod and Salmon are also available.

“We take care of the handling part, ensuring that all seafood are fresh from the sea, cleaned, scaled and gutted. You can cook it immediately once it thaws.”

“We do not add preservatives or chemicals to prolong the shelf life of the fish. All our seafood are held in sub-zero freezers at all times,” she said.

Fishy Fishy is open daily except Tuesdays from 11am to 9pm. They are located at 41, Jalan USJ21/11, 47620 Subang Jaya. Tel: 03-80240484 or 012-2872368.
