WANTED! Malaysian Men Above 40 from Subang Jaya, USJ, Sunway and Kelana Jaya
SUBANG LONGITUDINAL STUDY ON AGEING MEN (SAM) NEEDS 300 VOLUNTEERS TO COMPLETE ITS LONGITUDINAL STUDY ON AGEING MEN.
Are you Malaysian, above 40 years old and live in Subang Jaya, USJ, Sunway or Kelana Jaya? If you fit the description, why not spare some of your time to participate in this study which will help map out long-term measures to identify factors contributing to men’s health and their impacts on your health.
This study has been approved by ethics committee of University Malaya Medical Centre.
What do you need to do as a volunteer?
1. Fasting from 12 midnight the night before coming for the test;
2. Spend about 30 mins talking with the enumerator/research worker while having light breakfast.
Upon arrival, each individual will be received by our receptionist and given a Participant Information Sheet. Any queries or questions raised will be clearly explained to the participant. Informed consent will be taken. Participants will then be directed to have the following taken:
- Blood Pressure;
- Height and Weight;
- Waist Circumference;
- Fasting Blood Sample
An invitation to have Prostate Scan, Flow Study and Urine test will be given. This will be done during office time in Megah Medical Specialist Group at patient's convenience.
