Stalled Lagun Perdana Project to be Completed by February Next Year

The long wait by owners of the stalled Lagun Perdana Apartments project will be over by February next year, according to Subang Jaya ADUN Hannah Yeoh.
Work to complete Block 1 & 8 has started and is expected to be completed by December this year while work on Block 3 is expected to be completed by February next year, according to Hannah.
However, the completion of Block 7 is delayed due to problems with the structure, which was found to be unsafe when IJM, the principal contractor for the revived project started work.
Together with the Housing and Local Government Ministry, the developer and contractors are working closely with the Lagun Perdana Owners Association to resolve the issues with the delay.
"The uncompleted work affects 1,411 owners. So many owners are without their homes for such a long time."
"Efforts to complete the project must not however compromise on safety," she said to reporters after making a brief visit to the site yesterday morning.
Hannah expressed her confidence with IJM, whom she considered as a reliable company entrusted to complete the project.
Block 1 has 354 units; Block 3 339 units; Block 7 359 units and Block 8 354 units altogether.
An official from the Ministry said they would monitor the progress of the construction and ensure that it was completed.
