Resurfacing to be done once communication pipe laying work complete
Bumpy road rides along SS14 over the last two months will soon be over.
With the completion of the recent communications pipe laying work by Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) in the area, roads previously dug up for the work will be resurfaced.
Syabas corporate communications and public relations general manager Abdul Halem Mat Som who was recently in Subang Jaya to see to some complains from residents said the company had submitted its plans to resurface the roads to the Subang Jaya Municipal Council.
“Work is expected to start by the latest this month. We will be tarring another layer over the present road surface.”
“Roads to be resurfaced will be those which are 20 metres across or where the pipe-laying works is done at pavement or affects the front portion of houses,” he told SJECHO.
Abdul Halem said, “We are repairing what we have dug up.”
He said Syabas would send out notices to houses to request the cooperation of residents to park their car elsewhere while the road in front of them was being resurfaced.
“We will give a minimum of two days notice before work to resurface the roads start,” he said, adding that residents who encountered problems with their water supply could call the company's hotline.
