Keeping Homes Safe During CNY

581 homes registered with the police for CNY break

SUBANG JAYA police are going around three times a day to keep watch on 581 homes whose owners had registered for the Chinese New Year "Balik Kampung" police campaign, according to Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Yahaya Ramli.

Yahaya who spent 3 hours with his men to check on homes on the second day of Chinese New Year said there were 342 homes (USJ); 101 homes (Subang Jaya); 1 (Bandar Sunway); 92 (Putra Heights) and 45 (Bukit Puchong) registered under the campaign this time around.

"Our surveillance of these homes will continue until the end of January when all home owners are expected to be back from their holidays."

"We already have some coming home on the second day of Chinese New Year," he said.

Yahaya said apart from the rounds to the homes, personnel were also mobilised to man road blocks in strategic areas to check on crime.
