Have You Seen this Man?

SUBANG JAYA, JAN 21: POLICE are looking for this man to assist them
in their investigations on a robbery that took place on January 19 in
SS14 Subang Jaya.
Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Yahaya Ramli said the authorities hoped the burly sized man would be able to shed more light on a robbery by five men on a semi-detached house in SS14.
"His photograph was captured on CCTV and it is our hope to locate him."
"In
the incident, the houseowner (a man) and his relatives (a couple) were
praying in a room upstairs at around 11.15pm when a masked suspect entered the house through an unlocked sliding glass door downstairs," Yahaya said.
He said one of the victims who had noticed the man, ran upstairs again and the trio locked themselves in the room.
"The
suspect broke down the door and threatened his victims with a parang
before tying the men up with a plastic cable tie. He then instructed the
woman to open the front gate and show him where the valuables were."
"All five suspects were gloved, wore ski masks and were armed with parangs. They ransacked the whole house and left within 20mins," he said.
The family suffered an estimated loss of RM100,000 - 8 mobile phones; jewellery; 2 laptops; 6 watches; and RM35,000 in cash.
Yahaya said the family had just moved into the house 2 weeks ago.
Based
on the description by the victims, all five suspects were of Malaysian
Indian descent, 4 were medium built while the fifth was burly and fat.
All were within 166-170cm in height.
"Based on the modus
operandi and description from the victims, we believe this gang are
involved in 6 cases last year. This is their first this year."
"We
managed to get a photo grab from the CCTV recordings of the house and
we hope that members of the public who may know this man in the photo
can contact the police immediately," he said.
If you have information on the individual in the photograph, contact:
ASP Rodney Pasla Haris IPD Subang Jaya at 016-897 7664 or Insp Ismail Ahmad at 016-349 9963.
