Subang Jaya's New OCPD ACP Yahaya Ramli Reports for Duty

SUBANG JAYA's new OCPD ACP Yahaya Ramli reported in for duty officially today with a promise to continue working to keep crime rates low and to work closely with the community in achieving this objective.
"I am confident that we will realise our objective of keeping crime rates down in Subang Jaya. I shall continue the legacy and good work done by the late OCPD ACP Zainal Rashid."
"One of the main objectives will be to change the community's negative mindset about the police force here in Subang Jaya," he said after Acting OCPD Superintendent Tan Ah Chua handed the helm of the IPD over to him.
Witnessing the handover was Selangor police chief DCP Dato Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah and his deputy SAC Dato A. Thaiveegan.
"We welcome Yahaya to Subang Jaya. It is not an easy task handling the reins of IPD Subang Jaya."
"Congratulations to Tan also for successfully helming the top spot in Subang Jaya in the interim. Zainal was a man who was good with the community," Tun Hisan said.
He described Subang Jaya residents as different from other communities.
"I am confident Yahaya has the skills, experience and leadership to lead and share with his team."
"Always apply your mind's eye. Place the problem on the table and deal with it. Don't discard the problem. Always keep your cool and don't jump to conclusions," he added.
Tun Hisan said the constant barrage on crime via the internet in Subang Jaya has created fear amongst residents.
"Residents begin to look negatively because of this and they fail to see our successess as well. They only pick on the negative. Work with the media to win public confidence once again," Tun Hisan said.
Yahaya said his doors were open and he welcomed calls to him anytime from the community.
