"Life is Heart"

Acts Church presents a Christmas production featuring an original short film screening and live dance performances

LAST Christmas in Acts Church, the team behind “Esther”, “Roadworks Village”, “Something Playing in My Ear”, “The Tailor Made Man” and “The Big Show” presented their inaugural short film about a boy, a girl, their dreams…and a bear, simply entitled: “Life is Heart”.

The short film was about reigniting dreams, and experiencing hope this season, as some things do matter…and it’s a matter of the heart.

When he lost his one and only beloved grandmother (Ah Ma), all of Adam's dreams went along with her to the grave. But life has a way of springing a surprise when we least expect it; when we least deserve it. This is a story of faith, dreams, hope and hearts coming back to life.

Reverend Kenneth Chin, Senior Minister of Acts Church, said, “Acts Church is all about spreading hope and helping people believe. Life is Heart is our first original short film, casted, produced and directed entirely by the partners of Acts Church, and we’re happy to be able to share this Christmas message to all!

“Furthermore, to make this even more meaningful, all contributions for the entry passes goes towards our very first Community Clinic, which aims to provide quality healthcare to bless the people who need it the most,” he added.

Jack Ling, the Director of the production, remarked, “Life is Heart is based on a true story and inspired by the thought of not settling only for what is now but to pursue our God-given dreams. Life has its ups and downs, but faith and hope keep us moving forward.”

“Life is Heart” premiered on Sunday 25th December at 9.15am and 11.30am at Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel and Spa, with an attendance of more than 2,100 people in total.
