Blossoming of Spring at Sunway Pyramid

With the Chinese New Year festivities just around the corner, shoppers to Sunway Pyramid are set to usher in the coming Year of the Rat with the blooming of spring.
Launched by Deputy Minister of Tourism Dato' Donald Lim together with 32 golden-aged citizens of Bellevue Residential Home Care and Wesley Home, Sunway Pyramid comes alive with the scent of blossoming fresh flowers as the malls gears up for the celebrations.
Earlier in the day, the 32 senior citizens from Bellevue Residential Home Care were treated to a special makeover, making their Chinese New Year celebrations even more meaningful.
These special guests were given a new hair cut, clothing and goodies, courtesy of the mall, A Cut Above Studio & Academy, Aeroline, DC fashion, Eu Yan Sang, Famous Amos, Flower Verandah, Giant, Jonus Tasty Cand, JUSCO and Parkson.
Themed, “The Blossoming of Spring”, the mall welcomes the New Year with blossoming flowers, which means the coming of prosperity, family togetherness and happiness.
During the celebrations, other exciting activities taking place include a Chinese New Year Bazaar called the “Silk Street”, named after the Silk Street in Beijing, where visitors can expect to find great bargains and a flower market.
Adding to the festive spirit, there will be plenty of activities to entertain the family such as acrobatic lion dance performances, Spring Fashion Fete, Chinese Sonatas and Songs, A Season of Dance and Kung Fu On Ice. Look out for the Leo of Prosperity, who will be giving away vouchers and treats.
