Traffic Woes

Illegal parking causes congestion at Carrefour-Subang Parade road
TRAFFIC congestion at the feeder road between Jalan SS16/1 and Jalan Kemajuan is getting from bad to worse, no thanks to indiscriminate parking by the roadside between Carrefour and Subang Parade.
The two-lane road on the Carrefour Hypermarket side is reduced to a single lane due to illegal parking by shoppers as well as supply lorries which park without any consideration for the congestion they cause daily, especially during peak hours.
“Lorry drivers sending their supplies park indiscriminately by the road shoulder to unload their stock.  Cars are also parked there. Most of the time you don’t even see anyone in the car.”
“Where are the authorities and what is the Carrefour management doing about this?” Lim, a resident asked.
MPSJ councillor for Zone 1 Dr KM Loi when contacted said he had asked MPSJ to look into placing flexipoles along the stretch to deter illegal parking.
“I have forwarded the complain and we will act on it soon,” he said.
