Letter to Editor

A Happy New Year to you all!

I am a regular visitor to Malaysia from overseas. When in Malaysia, for several months every year, I usually stay in Subang Jaya [USJ6].

May I make one request or suggestion?

There is, and has long been, a dangerous situation in the small lane that runs between the HSBC/UEP building and the Maybank/KFC buildings in Taipan USJ 10.

At night, the lane is dark. Cars rush down it. Pedestrians often have to jump suddenly out of their way to avoid being hit (and there are many small children and family groups in the lane, often until late at night).

But the covers on the drains on both sides are broke, and many are missing.

As a matter of urgency, do you think you can get this dangerous situation fixed?

It is "a disaster waiting to happen".
