GET OFF THE STREETS!

Alam Flora sub-contractor breaks the rules again by sorting rubbish on the road
RECYCLING and sorting our rubbish, we know is good.
We are encouraged to recycle and sort our rubbish in our day-today routine at home or at the office.
But these overzealous workers with Alam Flora’s sub-contractor have obviously taken the “Go Green” message too seriously.
Obviously too anxious to wait till they reach the dumpsite, these workers have literally taken their recycling to the streets!
This vehicle was found parked in three parking lots along Jalan SS14/1 recently.
The workers were busy sorting out the cardboards and recyclable items just right behind the vehicle while their supervisor stands watch over them.
However, this over-enthusiasm runs afoul of the guidelines set by the Subang Jaya Municipal Council.
Rubbish collectors are not allowed to sort rubbish, wet or dry, by the road side.
Perhaps better supervision by MPSJ’s Urban Services unit is needed to ensure the good practice of recycling continues but not in the wrong place.
