SPECIAL REPORT: CARREFOUR SUBANG JAYA

SJ Echo dropped over at Carrefour Subang Jaya and caught up with its Store Director Antoine Gerrier for the second time to find out what’s being done to ensure the safety and security of shoppers.
“We have carried out improvements to the car park areas. More cameras have been installed to monitor the areas.”
“More personnel have also been mobilized to patrol the car park areas on foot and on motorcycle,” he said, adding that there had been no cases of cars being broken into since the last incident a few weeks ago.

Antoine said Carrefour had installed high-resolution rotating CCTV cameras to have a wider view of the car park areas.
“Lighting around our car parks have also been increased making the area brighter. The tubes are changed regularly to ensure the brightness is maintained.”
“Motorcycles are now no longer allowed to go up the multi-storey car park. They are directed to the front of the complex or to the designated parking lots in the basement. This is to deter anyone wandering around on the motorcycles,” he added.
