WALKABRELLA!
Our CSR Event is a walk-for-a-cause. Dubbed Walkabrella, the event will be a casual, non-competitive walk, spanning 6-km in the vicinity of Bandar Utama.

Time : 7:00am to 4:00pm
Venue : Central Park, 1Utama
Fee : RM10.00 per participant

OUR BENEFICIARY
Earlier in the semester, we spent an extensive month researching and shortlisting
NGOs / NPOs in the Klang Valley. After much deliberation, we selected
Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Taman Megah (PPKKCTM) as the
beneficiary of our CSR project. The decision was primarily based on locality
and the multicultural environment of the home.
There are 138 children of various races living at PPKKCTM, ranging from 7 months to 55 years
of age. Close to a hundred of these children have been diagnosed with various disorders such as
Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Global Delay, Muscular Dystrophy, Dwarfism, Apeth
Syndrome, Neunan Syndrome, Hyper Activity, physical challenges, intellectual disabilities as well
as speech, audio and visual impairments.
The remaining children come from broken homes, abused or single-parent backgrounds. There are
sixty seven schooling children – only twenty five attend normal school, one is in nursery, while
the rest are enrolled in a special school.
