Spanking Clean SS15
SS15 Neighbourhood Watch folks clean up area in inaugural gotong-royong
DESPITE the heavy downpour the night before and the light drizzle that greeted them in the morning, more than 100 residents of the SS15 Neighbourhood Watch took to the streets in their first ever gotong-royong.
They grouped together with the help of Alam Flora workers and started their morning pruning trees and also clearing their surrounding areas of rubbish.
Overgrown shrubs sticking out at junctions and unkempt houses which had been converted into hostels for workers or students were not left in the sweep up.
During their rounds, they even managed to spot an abandoned car which was finally confirmed by the police to be a stolen vehicle.
